Souheila Mgaieth joined Carbone 4 Finance in January 2024 as a Biodiversity Methodology Officer. She is responsible for developing methodologies to assess biodiversity-related impacts and dependencies of companies across all sectors.

Souheila previously worked on climate risk modelling for the banking sector, with a focus on physical hazards — such as floods, droughts, and wildfires — across France and Europe. She also contributed to the integration of transition and physical risks into the European climate stress-testing exercise. In addition, she participated in consultative discussions on the TNFD’s LEAP approach and explored the quantification of sectoral biodiversity footprints through the Global Biodiversity Score (GBS) developed by CDC Biodiversité.

Beyond her professional activities, Souheila contributed to The Shift Project’s finance working group, where she temporarily led a modelling team on the topic of “Insurability and Natural Disasters,” exploring the resilience of the insurance system to climate change and assessing the relevance of the existing regulatory framework.

She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Geosciences at Ecole Normale Supérieure, deepening her expertise in Earth, climate, and environmental sciences.
