Clémence Martel

Clémence joined Carbon4 Finance in September 2025 as a Carbon Data Analyst. Before joining the team, she worked as a climate project officer within a French bank. In this role — at the intersection of sectoral policy development, analysis of decarbonization strategies and pathways for companies in carbon-intensive sectors, and regulatory monitoring in sustainable finance — she gained a deep understanding of the central role financial institutions play in the transition to a low-carbon and biodiversity-friendly economy. 

At Carbon4 Finance, Clémence now applies this experience to the production and analysis of climate data for financial institutions, supporting them in the decarbonization of their portfolios — and, by extension, of the real economy. 

She is developing more specific expertise in the forestry and paper, agri-food, and industrial equipment sectors.
