What’s new in sustainable finance?

The World Economic Forum released a study on the evolution of impact investment in the private market. The study highlights that impact investing is growing, and represents unique benefits, both for investors and for the transition to a low-carbon economy.

American companies prepare for tighter environmental disclosure requirements, especially regarding Scope 3 reporting, as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is expected to disclose new reporting rules by this summer.

The Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) calls for completely excluding biodiversity offsets from the EU taxonomy, as was already advised by the Platform on Sustainable Finance, following the Commission’s unclear wording on criteria for activities that support the Protection and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystems.
